2.2 exhaust downpipe.
« on: 17 January 2010, 17:24:05 »

Quick question chaps:

On separating the exhaust downpipe from the manifold on a 2.2 is there a bracket that needs to be released to push the exhaust down to clear the studs? If so where is it?

Cheers  ;)

There is a bracket by the flex  should be a 13mm headed bolt. Check the lamda cable isnt being steched as well.

Correct :y 2.2 cats have 7 bolts - 4 on the manifold joint, 2 on the join the the centre section and 1 holding it solid to the gearbox crossmember. Then there are the 2 lambda plugs.
