to get tube out -you have to wriggle and pull at same time--as tube only held by O ring :y :y

I saw this thread and had to check it's not April 1st!! and I had visions of Webby trying to put his dipstick back in like putting the key in the door after a few beers!!!  ;D

Even tried pulling it with molegrips whilst jiggling it :-\

Even tried pulling it with molegrips whilst jiggling it :-\

this may sound mental. BUT

if you have a small jack place it in the engine bay above the dipstick tube. cable tie the dipstick tube hole (where the bolt secures it) then loop it round the jack head. then pump away and let the jack pull it out. just an idea

Two 16 stone jacks with a pair of molegrips squashing it couldn't budge it :-\
