Nice one, Aunt and Uncle have one as a 'weekend' car and they really like it 

I think every car made since the Omega 3.2 has better fuel economy but they are still a fantastic go-kart to fling around when they are on decent springs and shocks and i'm in no rush to get rid of mine.

I've been thinking about your purchase, Opti, and it dawned on me that you'd bought new. I must say I'm surprised at this, you'll be giving the government a fortune in VAT, which you'll never get back.

My intention was to buy a 2 or 3 year old car. for about 50% of the full list price. However, the prices were too close for comfort to a brand new car with a 3 year manufacturer warranty.

Second hand prices are silly at the moment.........you know what your Astra is (still) worth.

Hmmmm.....yes....I understand, but c.£7000 is still a lot of VAT. I guess you looked at the numbers, so you know what's what, but that would definitely stick in my craw.

My astra is worth less, a lot less, than your contribution to government coffers. But I'm only a northern, poverty-stricken pensioner  :'(
