Go for a walk round grizedale forest sculpture park, I go there sometimes... its bonk on look it up on tinterweb.
Search the maintenance guides for answers to 99.999% of Omega questions
As per title... just putting the feelers out i guess... are there any lower mileage engines still out there?
I have been a bike rider (trail bikes) since I was quite young. Sadly fitness is suffering a bit and I am contemplating parting with my bike. I am 47 and fitness level is unlikely to get better. The only thing is kids are getting older and more independant (youngest 16) so in time will have more free time, and the bike could come in more. That said the bike is a kick start and anyone who knows the XTs will know how to start one easily but will also know they can bite you occasionally.Bury it in the back garden. That will teach it not to bite you
So would you sell and give up, or keep for the future ?
Please this is not a for sale ad. If I sell the bike it cannot go to anyone who I even vaguely know or speak to, I could not bear hearing about it.
Check the HBV first
are the heads on a 2.5 omega the same as on a fronteraNo, But they are the same as the pair I have in my shed if you want some

Trivial daft things like that can be overlooked, obviously if there was a serious fault it would fail,
To be hoped you don't get into the sales side of things. If ABS is fitted, I would expect it to work.[/quote]
I disagree. This guy sounds like he would make a good secondhand car salesman
Just agree to disagree then For what its worth, I once watched a mobile mechanic replace a belt kit on a 2.5 vectra, he set it at tdc , put 2pairs of finger grips on the cam pulleys set the tensioner to whatever, and the car ran perfectly. just lucky I guessQuoteI need a brickwall to give myself a headache.. ....
I'll share your wall ......... cos I'm feeling the same. :-?
Not 24 bent valves though... surely?QuoteQuoteHope you have not got more than 2 teeth out else good night 24 valves :-?I dont think it would be running if it had 24 bent valves
I have driven an Omega with bent valves for about 60 miles. .
Hope you have not got more than 2 teeth out else good night 24 valves :-?I dont think it would be running if it had 24 bent valves
I wish you had voiced your concerns on here before I parted with me cashQuoteRe-bush the rears and poly the fronts
Lemforders not worth the money in my opinion
So glad you have said that Master... The amount of people I kept telling they aren't the genuine ones is untrue, they would not have it :-?
Got em from All german car parts in a sealed Lemforder bag with 'Made in Turkey' printed on it.QuoteI fitted a pair of Lemforder wishbones to mine recently, and to be honest I wasnt too impressed with the quality.Boge bushes in Lemforder wishbones? I would suggest they aren't LF bones. Where did you get them?
The front bushes were made by Boge and appeared to be very soft and pliable. I tightened the front bolts up over a pit with the wheels on the ground and afterwards I had my helper drive the car forward and backwards whilst I was still in the pit, and I was suprised to see how much movement there was in the wishbones as the car set off from rest, they must have splayed out 8mm each side and gave the impression that the bushes were made from jelly :-? add to that the fact that one of the steering bump stops fell out as I was VERY lightly tapping the underside of the wishbone when locating the ball joint, means I wouldnt buy another set and I will probably polybush these when the front bushes expire (probably quite soon)
Lemforder make just about every form of bush you can imagine. Can't see why they would fit boge bushes in thier own products? The bush play when new should be minimal. Sumat wrong there ...
Have you got both brake lights wired in, I always thought they would look quite good with 2 high level brake lightsQuoteis that the only difference as the spoiler i have seen needs to be painted to match my car , could easily hide the brake light, are all the tailgates the same ?
Tailgates are the same the spoilers differ but are interchangeable between pre and post facelift ( and vica versa )
I have a PFL spoiler fitted to my FL .
