If used correctly you should not have brake fluid going anywhere you don't want it to. :y

Depends how good the seals are. "Not very" once they've been used a couple of times, in my experience.

Kevin
He's just bought it new apparently, unless he got it from a car boot sale :)

I havent used an eazy bleed in years, but I seem to recall that they used a pipe with a bung in one end and a small split in the pipe that acted like a one way valve in that it opened up to eject fluid under pressure, but then closed up to prevent air getting in when the pedal was released?
Is it possible you are using the wrong pipe on the master cylinder end?

The first was a total rebuild; the second was when I found that they no longer supply parts anymore so it was secondhand from there onwards. Yip correct oil no leaks. The center pin seems to eat at the housing or snap completely. This time it was just the small gears shattering. Prop seems to be in balance same with drive shafts with no vibration and the oil seals are still perfect. This is why I was wondering if maybe Vauxhall know this so no longer supply parts for this diff. maybe an ongoing problem.  I was blaming my son for over use of the sport button lol.

How old is your son? i can remember a lad from my teenage years smashing a diff on an old triumph by repeatedly revving the car in neutral then slamming it into drive to make it wheelspin ;D

You dont use a torque wrench to tighten a wheel, you need a wheelbrace, or one of those extending bars :y

Funny that.  The driver's heated seat doesn't work but the switch does light up.  I guess that would be heavy all the time though.
That is probably down to a broken wire in the seat, as most of them are, but do check the fuse is seated correctly

It could be an electrical issue. The power steering will become very heavy if the fuse controlling the heated seats blows. replace this fuse and check that it is contacting correctly.

I'm glad you didnt use the caber. I was pissed when I suggested that method, and on reflection I dont think it would have been cost effective.

is there a way to open the catches on the seats from the boot?
If so...
Remove rear bumper, drill off rivets to the cupboard vent on rear drivers wing, twist the cupboard clips from the inside to open, and reach in with something long( coat hanger on a stick?) and pull the boot release.

Or pray the centre arm rest clip is loose so it can be pushed down.....?

How the hell does central locking activate on it's own  ::)

No that won't work, need boot open to remove bumper screws on boot lip.  :D

Yes its a bit strange that. A couple of weeks ago when it was very frosty, I wanted to leave the car running on the drive to warm up, but not wanting leave it unlocked, i tried to lock it using the spare remote fob. It wouldnt have it. just kept unlocking itself, did the same using the spare key in the lock.

First priority is to stop the tinker running. Remove sporran and ram it up tailpipe. Then toss caber through winscreen and retrieve keys. Peice of piss :y

Just re -read that. Why take plenum off to do the water pump?

Pass - Never worked on an Omega V6.

But the tell tale sign the Plenum had been off was a plastic cap missing.
Maybe they needed a plastic cap :-/
If it was a VX dealer they might been have trying to find the water pump..

They could have trapped and crushed the knock sensor wire behind the auxirally belt tensioner. Easily done. That wont do it any good :(
