Merc leather are very comfy, heated & cooled so no issues.

Is it leather? Or Artico, Merc's faux leather?
.

Definitely leather.

Personally I wouldn't buy a car if it didn't have leather seats.Heated/cooled has never made a difference to me,never had one with cooling so don't particularly miss that bit and I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times I've used the seat heaters on any I've had-and all my cars from 1998 onwards have had leather. In the mid '70's dad had a Mercedes 280CE which had what they termed at the time M-B Tex.

Vinyl to anyone else ;D

Cloth, velour and actual leather being options ;)

Had a tear drive in a white 2017 C63 Merc.

Not real leather but fake 'artico'

Plastic or vinyl but certainly not made from cows. :-\

BMW have sensatec and Mercedes have MB-Tex
Its a Vinyl leatherette That comes standard and feels like plastic also has a crackle texture.

My 325 has real leather on the otherhand, there is sensatec also but on the 2 rear headrests and airbag seams in the doorcards

..... and Mercedes have MB-Tex ....

MB call their vinyl Artico. I'll certainly do my best to avoid it if I get another Merc. I had the outer side panel of my seat repaired due to it cracking  .... presumably caused by sliding over it getting in & out of the car and the centre 'suede' bit of both front seats has bobbled.

My Omega's leather seats still looked like new after 180 000 miles.

Its the same thing lol (the yanks name for it), mercs version is better than bmw

Bmw's one is just cheap and nasty. My boss has it in his f30 320d, black powdery plastic but I darent tell him, I only noticed the headrests in mine when I went to clean the seats after I bought the car

Older cars generally had better seats, softer and more comfy

Yup. For all it's flaws, my S80 seats are the comfiest of any car I've owned (and possibly sat in come to that). Proper peeled cow.

I liked the look of my M140i seats but the feel is just not he same.
