General Car Chat / hidden water leak

just been poking around the boot of my new omega (see Hi post) when i noticed a bit of rust in an odd place behind the tool cover trim.



on closer inspection it was getting water through this seam in the boot lid channel



so i flushed it with wd40 then sprayed waxoyl in the crevices top and bottom



other side was fine because factory seam sealer had been applied unlike the drivers side.

Just bought a pfl 1995 elite 3.0i only 2 previous owners with 83,000 miles on the clock.





I'm a long time vauxhall fan having worked in a Vauxhall main dealer parts dept. for many years.Past vauxhall cars owned include a cavalier 4x4 turbo,carlton gsi 24v,mk3 astra gsi and as well as the omega i have a mk2 astra gte 8v.
