Its certainly not vehicle specific -

But if you do decide to fit it, its actually a fairly good bit of kit   :y

sounds like whoever fitted it did a halfarsed job.

Amazing how similar Halfords and Halfarsed can look   ;D

Agree though, sounds like a bad install   :y

You can only replace it with an identical model CDC2 changer - but be careful, as there are several variations that are not even cross compatible with themselves.

On the side of your changer is a 10 digit number starting with a  7

7   ? ? ?   ? ? ?   ? ? ?

Your replacement changer MUST have the same 10 digit number for it to function correctly

We often get asked that question, and we put this together

The Steering wheel interfaces are generally only available for the larger Branded stereos - Pioneer / Clarion / Sony / Alpine etc

Unlikely to find one for the Chinese imports to a 30+ year old car as not financially viable to design one

Old tip, probably frowned on now ...

Quite the reverse - in some cases we still resort to that one

Just make sure you only briefly "tap" the wires to get a "pop" as any more than a split second will damage the speakers   :y

You would be amazed how many turn up here for a diagnostics with the BALANCE or FADER control wound to the wrong place

Just double check it to be sure   ;)

53
Sure, you can waste your money on one, as all you will end up with is a nice and shiney polished (but still knackered) laser

Sign of a laser on its way out - performance will be subject to temperature variation as well

We don`t have any more lasers for these

I will pm you to ask about other options.

The Guide is already written at the top here   ;)

Also worth mentioning that a lot of the CCR2006`s we see in Omegas also originate from Astras and Corsas too - and they all have their own set of programming features too

Could be one for DND to answer.

Not sure I can add anything here that has not been said   :-\

Thats a curious one indeed - I am very familiar with teh Hyundai unit, and was not aware that it had any display output capability.

However, if your MFD is showing Radio 2 albeit briefly, my first question would be what station are you tuned in to? If something different, then I reckon that its a memory retention on the MFD of the last bit of data it had from your CAR400 prior to removal.

Let me know  ???

Dave.

Is the fitting of the "correct" laser a proceedure you undertake as a service ? :y

Sadly not any more -

We only ever use genuine parts, and they dried up many years ago for that model   :'(
