Title: Oxford meet
Post by: joshwyatt on 19 June 2014, 20:25:38
There hasn't been an Oxford meet for some time now, and hopefully we'll soon sort that!

So, would the end of July be suitable?

Indeed so Andy, I thought we may as well return to Cutteslowe Park, the host of the first 2 or 3 Oxford meets. There are hot dogs / ice cream's available and a childrens playground for junior OOF members. Along with a model railway, exotic birds, sadly of the avian variety  ;D

The only change is you will need to bring £2.20 for the parking, this will cover you for 3-5 hours.

I will bring along a healthy supply of drinks and snacks for all!

Postcode and full details TBC this evening when I return.

When the weather dulls, we will retire to a local pub, or maybe even a curry!

As always, everyone is welcome. Any new members, please do come along. If you want to discuss anything please PM me for my mobile number  :y

Does the park allow dogs ?? If so, then we can come .. but it would be too long to leave the hound "home alone" ..

Dogs are indeed welcomed  :y

The postcode is OX2 8NP, it is at the end of Harbord Road.

I will be there from 11am, Sunday the 20th!

If I manage to drag myself out of my pit early (ish) tomorrow morning to attend, can I be arsed to give the MV6 a clean today  :-\  ?

Hmm, I wonder if Tesco car wash is open today ?    :y

Post by: TheBoy on 19 July 2014, 12:34:11
TBE is pretty minging - it was cleanish, but the brick dust from the garage, plus the way the heavy rain last night has splashed up the dirt means it looks filthy. Oh well ;D

It'll cost me dearly though, as Mrs YZ wants dropping in town.  ::)

I might make it,  IF i get this coolant leak sorted in the morning ……    picked up all the relevant gubbins from Joff today…..      (and wheels,  and changed fronts,   the front N/S tyre i was worried about due to obvious outside shoulder wear,   was actually in better nick than the one on the driver side…. inside edge had wires thru…….     hadn't spotted it…..  :(   )

mind you,   i'm willing to bet the old barge is filthier than any of yours…….   :(  also on my to do list…..  inside and out…..

Not going to make it :( , can't get the damn aux pump off , between the restricted space , and the lack of a locking spring clip tool , and lack of the "knack" of getting the thing out of the rubber mounting ..... And the lack of space to access the lower hose connection  , it's already sent my neck in to spasm. , and my hands in to cramp .

5 minute job my arse

If any competent clever bastards want to stop by for a brew on their way home and sort this out , I'd be deeply grateful ...... I'm in Berinsfield , just off the a4074 ....
