I'll never know what it is/was about as I never ever watch any BBC channel, and I'm not looking at the guide to find out just in case they think I'm interested.  ;D

Well, it's unlikely to be the former Panorama producer that's just been found guilty of child sex offences but not jailed because he is 'too old'  :-X

It is about safety of uk roads. Fatalities up despite cars being safer.

Probably down to new generation having shorter attention spans but lets see.

I can easily accept that death rates have dramatically increased in the last 18 months, because people have forgotten how to drive.

Obviously, being the BBC, it will be around speed kills etc.  Despite that there is categoric proof that speed has never killed anyone.  Only accleration/decceleration kills.

Relying on cameras instead of having enough Police to patrol the motorways doesn't help, but it all boils down to cash , won't be watching the programme though.

Nor will I it will only infuriate me no doubt, it was always young teenage lads speeding around that were the most dangerous however the phoning, texting, young girls putting makeup on while looking in the rear mirror are far more danger now, they drive like fury and have no patience at all.  My opinion of course 💝

Well, the programme gave out no surprises to us who drive regularly, and those officers certainly within Kent Police who have spoken about their "challenges" ;)
To sum up, far more officers, more speed cameras, harsher penalties for drink drivers, investment in the roads with Smart Motorways done away with, and far more regular police checks on motorists. ;)

My head was in the clouds when I took the dog out on Christmas morning. Roads very quiet and I was making 'good progress' when I realised I'd gone through the same speed camera I go through most mornings, only this time at 45mph, in a 30. That'll be a nice Christmas present, I thought, but nothing.
So that's one that's not working.

I would say we do in urban areas, not motorways, if speeding, that is greatly exceeding the limit, is to be curtailed through 30 / 40 mph zones.  It is better for all of us in the long run.  I have over the last year noticed so many drivers locally driving like idiots, so they must be persuaded not to do so via the camera if necessary. ;)

Not outside hospitals, children's nurseries, shops, centres of social events.................................etc, etc?  That is the thing, in urban areas the list is endless and no authority can afford to put speed cameras everywhere, or maintain them as made clear in that programme.  So let them place cameras around hot spots, known to the locals, to just try and slow traffic down in those zones, when the finance is there.  ;)
