Try autovaux.co.uk i dont think they are genuine ones as a package (which include discs and pads together) however if you ask they should be able to get some genuine ones for you

I found a good way of really flushing them out. Soak them with carb cleaner first and after rinsing with water, give them a blow-through with a foot pump with the dingy/inflatable adaptor held on the end, you feel the pressure build up, then watch the crap come out!

« on: 04 November 2009, 09:23:04 »
Hi, i have the good old mot at the end of november. Just a quick question, do the egr and sai valves need connection for the emission test, i've had them by passed due to fitting 2.6 manifolds the car runs fine etc no problems but i know how strict the emissions test can be, regards alex

Omega General Help / Re: which cam belt locking kit?
« on: 14 November 2008, 19:36:10 »
Thanks for advise, i've borrowed one before from auto vaux, but think its now seen better days! (unless they now have a new one) A need it all to be spot on when doing the job as its fitted with high lift cams, gas flowed heads etc so a guess 60-80 quid aint too bad for peace of mind. Just browsing in the inet there are so many kits available hard to choose which is most accurate think the sp is the one to go for :)

Omega General Help / Diff drive shaft oil seals
« on: 11 May 2008, 18:48:43 »
Hi, just checked under my car to find that there seems to be a small amount of diff oil around where the drive shaft goes into to diff.
Its only the one side (driver side), definatly think the seals on its way out, is it a tricky job to change it, think i may aswell do the other side too just to be on the safe side.
Its a 3.0 ('96) manual with limited slip diff anything special i should know before i get stuck in?! regards alex

Omega General Help / Re:  Power steering pump on 3.0 V6
« on: 24 March 2008, 21:37:33 »
Hi just a quick note, i did the pump not too bad a job took about 3 hours, most of it mopping up! If anyone else is thinking of doing one the advise from above is spot on only on mine, the old one has 3 bolts one at top, middle and one right at the bottom.
The top and bottom didnt have a thread and just went through the pump and then screwed directly into engine block, the replacement is exactly the same just needed to drill out the top and bottom holes as they had threads on them, not sure why but if replacing just double check fitting as its a bit of a fiddle to get the swine in/out! :D

Omega General Help / Re: light mods to improve performance?
« on: 06 March 2008, 15:51:15 »
Hi there, looking at what everyones put all seems fine for what your looking for i've done nearly everything to the engine i'e gas flowed heads, cams, lightweight flywheel clutch, exhaust etc, the 1 st thing i did after making sure the engine/car was up to it were magnecore ignition leads 8.5mm (the red ones) Ngk irridium spark plugs and an uprated fuel pressure regultor from 3bar to 4bar. i did these jobs whilst doing the cam cover gaskets, its a relativly straight forward job and definatley made the car more responsive. Further mods like a free flow air filter and exhaust etc came later but try the leads, spark plugs and fuel regulator 1st a see what you think, if happy just carry on from there hope that helps a bit! :y

sorry brake dust free! Also the ignition leads on a v6 do take time to replace, i've but magnecore competition ones which are life time guarentee, supposed to help misfire and are cheaper than standard silicone ones from vx

No matter what car i've had always used fast road/performance pads, there not a great deal more than standard ones. They "bite" better and help keep alloys brake free worth considering?
