(HELP PLEASE)will dust damage my auto transmission

hi i have a omega 2.5 with auto which has given up,have a spare trans but it has been in a quite dust shed for about two years im wondering could that have made it not useable now?

as long as the seals are on it and not open should be fine just give a clean. :y

You might want to consider putting a stronger gearbox onto your engine. Your spare box may fail in the near future too. The std fitment is AR25 but they are a bit marginal for the torque of a diesel.

The AR35 fitted to the 3 litres is a better bet as it is stronger. Breakers on Omega Forum sell them(in fact there was one in the parts for sale section recently I think).
