Yes it's a 2.8 I have owned a 2.3 MK2 & 3.0 MK1 have driven a 2.8 ( belonged to my father)

This one is midnight blue with tan leather, I'm going to keep the colour the same but although the seats look in good nick I know of someone local who can refurb them completely, I'm going to keep them the same colour but will have the leather in the "diamond quilted" pattern that can be seen on most Bentleys.

Say, for example, you replace points and coil on a sixties classic for electronic ignition. Or modern tyres and brakes.

What Rangie describes sounds like an 'acceptable update' to me.

It's a cracker(  2.8 Ghia X) deposit paid will sort it all out when we get back from our cruise , lovely old lady to deal with , I've had one of these years ago but only a 2.3GL .

That apparently needs a full restoration...

I was talking seats, that's why I said 'them' when replying to his post about seats

If my memory of my brother-in-laws three MK2 2.8 Granada Ghia X’s is correct (he had two X’s and one X Executive), the standard Ghia X had flat leather (or cloth) and the X Executive had puffed up leather. The Executive seat looked like it had an additional topper and looked like someone had bolted a three piece suite in to the car and I always thought that it looked a bit overdone.

The velour looked much nicer than the leather and was a pretty comfortable place to be

Agree re the Executive leather, it looks very '70s American... although it was a definite improvement over the standard leather which made the interior look quite bland, especially in grey.

Just wanted a slight difference to make it more "personalised" to me, everything else exactly to as new condition, even my missus liked driving the Granadas at one point we had two she had a 3.0 GL & I had the 3.0 Ghia, the MK2 I had was only a 2.3LX in gay gold 👍
