F/S 2001 'Y' Omega 3.2 saloon 'special'
« on: 23 December 2009, 13:31:34 »

Y189 HKE is a 2001 Vauxhall Omega 'special' automatic presented in Moroccan red. It was first registered on the 24/05/2001 and has covered 61,974 miles from new with full service history to support mileage.
This Omega has come from The Metropolitan Police service. It was a diplomatic protection group vehicle, hence the colour.
The cambelt was changed on the 02/08/2006 at 60712 miles. Since the start of 2005, it has only covered 4000 miles, but was still serviced per schedule.
The MOT is valid until the 20th of April 2010. No advisories were noted on the test carried out on the 17th of April 2009.
This Omega features the following;
3.2 V6 engine producing 211 bhp with the AR35 automatic gearbox.
Xenon headlights with dynamic beam levelling and headlight washers
16'' alloy wheels
Heated front seats
Electric mirrors
I have undertaken a refurbishment of the interior, the cloth seats have been replaced with velour one's. Wood trim has been added, and soon it will have electric rear windows.
£400 recently spent on bodywork as when it came out of service there were plenty of dents and scratches, these have all been removed.
The pictures were taken this morning, when the weather is a little nicer I will take more detailed photo's
'Vauxhall' and 'Omega 3.2 V6' badges will be added to the boot when the weather permits.
The O/S/F jacking point cover is missing, it will be replaced before sale.
This vehicle has no tax, that can be arranged, negotiated etc.
Please ask any questions you may have.
It is £1800 when fully completed to members of the OOF. £2000 when on autotrader. But as always, if you have an offer please feel free to PM me  :y

That is really nice, Now you have me thinking, if it was leather interior I would be begging  that from you sweetheart.
3.2 Petrol, I would surely end up killing myself or my bank balance in that.

A facelift leather interior costs about £150, if you can get one I'd happily fit it for you for free. The 3.2 does drink fuel, but it's not that bad in all honesty. All depends on how you drive it  ;D
You're more than welcome to come and view it, and take it for a test drive.

You could always LPG it ...  it makes absolutely no difference to performance, cuts the running costs by 40% and the only downside is you lose 1/3rd of the boot .. :)

My "professional" install 2 years ago cost £2100 ... :(

However the kit costs around £700 and several of the guys here have done their own, and others.

The savings are good, my pence per mile costs on petrol were around 23p ... on LPG its down to 14.18 ... thats around 9p/mile .. or 38% :)

That to me is a saving of £100 a month on the fuel bill.

Obviously you have to consider the cost of the conversion, how many miles you do per month, how near you are to an LPG refuel point, how long you intend to keep the car, and how much space you can afford to lose.

Don't just take my word for it .. ask around .. as I said .. there's a few conversions on the forum . :)

£1800 sounds quite reasonable based on your original post, and I have the cash waiting right now if it is going to be what your original post says it will be when it's ready for sale.

Drop me a PM with your phone number and we can take it from there.

Hello Phill,
It does have switchable traction control, but it doesn't have cruise control. However, cruise control can be added.
