F/S 98 OMEGA 2.0
« on: 30 December 2009, 19:56:10 »

I need to sell my Omega as we will be moving permanently to France in February.
First i would like to apologise about lack of pictures but for some reason i cant get photo bucket to work but if you need pictures PM me with your email addy and i will send them to asap.To give you a idea it's the same one as in the avatar

1998 2.0 saloon in titanium silver 98k on clock.MOT till 9/2010.service book stamped upto 82474,loads of invoices and history.17" MV6 alloys fitted with 245/40/17 front,245/45/17 rear.Lowered 40mm around on G Mac springs and rear Janspeed shocks.Mesh grill,boot de-badged,Led red dash bulbs,blupunkt mp3/CD player
black leather interior plus the origial set in grey valour if wanted. All handbooks.
Cam belt and tensioners changed at 74666 in service book and again approx 1 week before i bought the car 6k ago.I have no written proof on the last change but i saw the person finishing the job off when i viewed the car.
No rust on door bottoms or wheel arches but 2 small spots on passenger door by window rubber strip. No dents.Panels all straight.
When i bought the car it had a miss-fire on tick over so i had the following done in September.
Both manifold gaskets replaced.
New down pipes fitted.
New Cat fitted.
Oxygen sensor fitted.
Engine service plus filters.
plugs and HT leads.
Rocker gasket changed.
wiper blades replaced
tracking(twice)
Fuel system flush
MOT

I listed the car on Ebay 3 days ago but the next day the clutch began to slip so as i write this a new clutch is being fitted. This is the first time it has let me down in over 6 thousand miles including travelling back and forth to south west France 5 times in the last 3 months.

There are 3 small problems at the moment, since the snow the washer jets seem to be blocked and a squeak from the rear somewhere started but is only there when the suspension is cold, once warm it disappears (hopefully the garage will sort this tomorrow if they have time)and the glove box catch broke last week. Also comes with 5ltrs Vx and VX filter for next oil change.
Air con may need re-gassing as not as cold as it should.
If your interested am open to offers and if you want pictures and any more info pm me.

I think the estates look like a funeral cars. I've got the old Range Rover to take the Rotties about in.

Don't believe it.Why do i attract the nutters ?

09:30 Woman called as she had seen the car for sale in the Friday ads and offered £750.
10:15 Came around with her dad.Her dad took the car for a test drive, loved it,found no faults then she wanted ago as dad was handing the money over, here's where the fun and games start.
10:40 She couldn't even get it out of my drive and kept stalling.she didn't like the clutch(this is new with less than 5 miles on it).It turns out her old car had a slipping clutch and thought all cars were like it.Her dad tried to explain how mine was how a clutch was suppose to be like. She then said she didn't like the brakes and on her old car she knew she had good brakes as when the pedal was pushed to the floor the car would stop and my brakes only went half way so there must be a problem with them,Her dad said to her that brakes work like this.
The dad then red faced told me her old car was scraped as it failed the mot  because the brakes were only working on the rear wheels and only had a top speed of 20 mph due to knackered clutch plus a large hole in the floor plan.
Before you ask no she wasn't blonde was in her 30's but thick as s**t.
10:55 As they were walking away you could hear the dad shouting at her what a prat she was and other choice words and for wasting everyone time.
11:45 It turns out the idiot was also the highest bidder on Ebay. she has just called me on my other number asking if i would take £750 for it.I told he no as the car has excellent brakes and clutch and would be no good to a stupid, brain dead idiots.

So if OOF member wants a good car it's up for grabs for around £650 plus the £104.50 i paid out this morning for 6 months tax

So the gist of it all is, if she had seen another car before your ended, she would have LET YOU DOWN badly on FleaBay. ,
