Glow plugs
« on: 27 March 2008, 19:13:39 »

hey
had the glowplugs changed today, after discovering they needed changing. urgently

6 glowplugs inc VAT cost £66
had a new leak off pipe whatever that may be at(inc VAT) £13
Labour was 1 hour costing £52 Inc VAT.
total:£132
This is the same garage that has done out 700 quid MOT, alternator and aux belt change and fuel pipe.

Just wondering weather theese prices are to be expected? i geuss it would be the corect amount but hey.

You see I have always had a problem with garages delivering MOTs and then offering to fix the problems they 'diagnose'

The french have it right, you can do garage or MOT centre, not both

no no no
the MOT was end of January
Aleternator was 3 weeks later
Fuel pipe was last week
Glowplugs have always needed changing, but the starting the car game got noisy, smoky, time consuming and downright irritating lol
