I spent 2 hours and got it right.First,I decided to connect the wires via switch to act as an over ride and found that the so called "bunch of black wires" actually had 2 cores which are connected to the rev counter.I connected the earth wire direct to the battery negative and it started on the turn with idling at 700rpm for about 10 seconds.Diconnected the switch and it works fine.Thanks for the help guys.
