That's a shame as it sounds like my first baby is about to be no more :(
This is one car is love to revive, but sounds like it may be past that

As above, as I've just taken the plenums off and mines got a small crack in it.
Anybody got one, cheaper the better ;)

I've an alpine head unit in mine, always classed them as the best on the market.
I have an ipod dock and an 8gb memory stick connected to mine.
I kept my standard speakers, but added 2 x 12" jbl subs in 1 box, with a 3000w amp.

I have an alpine 9882ir, bought all the cables for it, ipod cable, 8gb memory stick, but i also bought the cable to use with the steering wheel controls, only cost about £15, but well worth it,
even if the stereo is within reach  ;D
I couldn't find one to work with the computer display.

They are good stereos, but i ripped all mine out a couple of weeks ago, and sold it on ebay.
The stereo was a ccrt 700, hope this helps.
I fitted a cradle, just as good, plus my head unit is better  :D

I'm sort-of going down the idea 1 road, but i am going to have a backbox on both corners.
A friend of mine has offered to make me a system, hopefully in time for the pvs, but that's the way i'm going.
2 backboxes, center sections removed.

Thanks for the replies.
Atleast I know what to aim for now.
My main concern is the engine and wheels, anything that I get after. That is a bonus.
I'll only put up one thread in the for sale section, and I won't be listing bits for long, as I haven't really got the space or time to play with, as I work away all week  :-/

I know why your sad, but it was a good car for what I bought it for, that's why i couldn't see myself selling her, I thought I'd put the engine to good use in the vectra  :y

It's not murder.... More like a transplant or donor...
Then the left overs being sold on to make other people happy.

As above really, thought I'd ask what to remove?
I'm breaking my mv6 estate and using the engine for my gsi.
So there will be nearly everything else up for grabs.
I don't want to strip everything, just stuff that I can actually get rid of, and not be stuck with for years.

She has uprated NGK four plugs
Silicon HT Leads

Other than that she is standard.

I was thinking...

Gasflowed Throttlebodies
Gasflowed inlet manifold
Uprated fuel reg
Full exhaust system minus silensors
Decent panel filter
piggyback ecu (dastek) and remap

The car has 10mm fuel cat leads, with a 3.8 fpr, and a gas flowed tb, or it did have when you had it off me  :y

I had a similar problem in my old mig.
I was told that migs don't like doing short journeys.
Or ticking over for long periods.
Take it for a good run maybe?

I used to have a similar problem on my old mig, but it was only under heavy use.
Problem used to go away when i turned off certain items  :y
