Yeah, makes you wonder why the WTC towers failed after the 9-11 attack. No i'm not a conspiracy theorist.
Have you seen what an Avgas and molten aluminium fire does to steel?

explosions and fires don't have the same effects. The damage in Beirut was caused by the material and blastwave(which is all an explosion is)of the explosion moving rapidly away from the site.

I;m sure in our younger days, we all experimented with mixing Mr Fothergills and hair dye ingredients.  Before they put all the inhibitors in the stuff.

As 12 year olds we mixed water with calcium carbide lumps and collected the acetylene in balloons and attached glass tubes and off we went with matches to torch wasps nests - very effective in stone walls.

I found the generator from a 500v Megger quite effective against wasps.
