Let us know how you get on / price on these. I've scavenged every scrap car I've been in for years and managed to get just a few, sadly none spare, or I'd have gladly send what I didn't need. Never occurred to me these might still be available new.  :)

If you have to buy a pack of more than you need I'll have some off you.
Cheers John.

If they take as long to get them as Drive Vauxhall in Bury St. Edmunds did to get my Check Strap Bushes then best of luck. :D Must add that AndyC was off sick at the time. :y

There's been many a thread dedicated to the Vx 'Stealers' My 'Coping Mechanism' is just accept it'll be a wait for said 5 days, from Die Farterland. When it really gripes is, of course, when the item in question is either criminally common (like an oil filter) or something you need there and then.

So I tend to use them 'pre-emptive' of a job, rather than when I've already got the car apart on the drive, so to speak.

On the plus side, give it another year or two and we won't be able to get anything Omega from them!  :D ;D :D

So don't buy 'criminally common' parts from a dealer!
And if you think ordering parts for a car that is at least 14 years old is bad, don't buy a VW. They do it for current models!

:y I only mentioned oil filters because the oil filters were, at the time 99p each, on TC, which was cheaper than local motorfactors. My old man bought oil filters for the diesel for a couple of years before realising that actually genuine GM ones were slightly cheaper on TC.

Haha, didnt know VW were bad like that.   :)

I find my dealer is generally accurate when it comes to delivery estimates - same day if available in the franchise, next day if available in U.K. Warehouse, or 3 days if Germany. Add another day for delivery if I CBA to collect (pretty much always!)
