They're driving one of these around on Antiques Road Trip this week. I really like the old thing, something different.

It's an Audi.

It's a 2 stroke. A cloud of 2 stroke smoke will follow it wherever it goes.

Having said that I love the sound and smell of 2 stroke bikes from a time when we didn't need to save the Earth. :)

There's four or five regularly appear on our local classic car runs over here , one a 1950's prepared rally car. They were assembled in Cork from ckd kits.
Lovely little things with bright cheery interiors .

I remember these when  we used to visit my aunt in South Croydon one of her neighbours had one & also a Borgward

I believe DKW were one of the four car manufacturers that merged to become Audi.The Borgward Isabella was a very nice looking car :y

Yep, from the days before they invented the fifth ring(piece) that goes in the driver's seat nowadays. :y

I remember an article 10-15 years ago, maybe more, on the restoration of one of those Auto Union V16s. Balls of tungsten carbide were required for the test drive, apparently. ;D
