Title: This evenings little jobs
Post by: TheBoy on 20 September 2006, 21:07:53
Couple of quick jobs on MV6

Quick oil change, I'd let it go a little longer than normal, around 5k.

Also unblocked the washer pump gauze that had blocked yet again.

Was it me, or is it starting to get a little chilly in the evenings now....

Just changed the header tank and cap tonight as i never could get rid of all the gunk after changing the oil cooler last month, rest of the system is really clean now after numerous flushes, hows your looking TB, its been about the same time?

My header tank on Proj TB1 is fairly clean (I did get good one from scrappy but never fitted as original cleaned up nicely). Its defo stained slightly brown though, but doesn't look too bad at all...

Only a ten minute job, just thought it was easier to change in the end, think the oil contaminated the seal on the cap :(

The oil ruins the seal, so it leaks as soon as it starts to pressurise...

Whats up with cap ?

Seal has expanded and doesn't fit the cap properly
