As in the above I would eventually like to get my hands on one of these but can they be fitted without doing a bodge.
My car at the moment does not have this and was wondering whether it would have a hidden connector in the boot lining for connectivity.
At a guess a hole would need to be made to run the cable in would this be right.
If its too much trouble to fit one with the brake light I shall have a look for one without.
Has anyone added one of these before.

I know who not to ask!!!
Quote from bigrod :-
Unfortunately the spoiler fell off last night, so I reattached it with some bigger wood screws!!
;D ;D

'No More Nails'!
But seriously, I think they are glued on aren't they? Mrs Hillper's is.
It's drilling a hole for the wire that would worry me. Connecting up the wires wouldn't be a problem.

Not so bothered about drilling when I come to do it but does anyone think there maybe a connector in the bootlid.
-
The spoiler is stuck on, with one small screw at either end, fitted from underneath.
As to the wiring, I have no idea whether there is a conector in the boot lid, it's possible, but if not, just run a wire to one of the existing brake lights.

Will that not upset/confuse the brake check system?
-
Possibly. You could do a dummy run with a bulb with wires soldered on, connected across one of the brake light terminals.
I doubt if the system would register a blown bulb if two were in parallel.
But if you used LEDs, it would probably be unaffected.

Check system should be unaffected, the high level led brake light on facelifts is connected on the same circuit.
