Oil seal
« on: 29 June 2014, 12:51:29 »

Friend of mine has a '02 plate Toyota Yaris on which the front crank oil seal is failing/has failed as he  has a pretty bad oil leak from that area.Anyone know how complicated a job it is on these cars to change seal?Engine is a D4-D diesel.

There a right pain in the (Y)aris

timing gear needs to come off and even then its not guaranteed to fix it.

Check the breathers are clear though
