I'll sell the Mondeo, the Beemer is a keeper for a while and I'll see how I go with the new Ford type thing. 

The £500 odd VED and the 23 mpg might see that off before long as well!

In my day a car, any car, would do the trick. I suppose that could have been down to me being irresistible.........

You need to remember that 'up north' where you come from cars were a luxury item only bought 'by them shandy drinking bed-wetting London types'. So scouse girls were easily impressed when you arrived in a stolen Austin 1100 held together by Isopon.

I hear rumours that some homes in the north now have running water, electricity, and in exceptional cases, an indoor crapper.

G-Wagens are a blatant German rip off of the Defender, but I bet there is one feature of the Defender that Mercedes couldn't bring themselves to copy.....

Yep, that's a spitting image of the shed we had. 557k miles, though? I shudder to think of his fuel bill.
