The ice cream van has just pulled into the street and got me thinking.

"What tunes do the vans play?"

My regular van plays the theme from Blue Peter, and on the odd occasion, plays the theme from....

Wait for it....

Ours has 2, the arriving one is The Wizard of Oz, and when he leaves its Match of the Day!(My Dads mate used to tell his kids that the reason they played the music was to tell everyone they had sold out!!! So he never had to buy them any! )

Blue Peter. The only other one i remember was when i lived in Boston (Lincs!!!) a few years back & that was Teddy bears picnic!! I never actually saw the van as i lived overlooking the river Witham but heard it all the time.
     Any Bostonians know if they still play it? 8-)

We also had Vimto [size=8](anag.: 'Vomit')[/size].....far nicer than you`d think; or maybe it`s the 40 years that`ve transpired since I last had any.

When we lived darn sarf in Pompey, in the early 80's, Lenny Henry did an ad campaign for a 'new' cordial ..... Vimto! :-?
