How do you figure that out!? LPG you need to think pence per mile, but as rough calculation on mpg, a V6 can do 20mpg on gas around town, with LPG less than half price of petrol at some stations, you basically get 40mpg!

Exactly, which is why I am ruling out the diesel option.

Did you think I was saying that LPG wouldnt do what I want?

I was going on his example of 20mpg on petrol.  I would suggest somewhere in region of 10-15% less mpg on gas

Let's put a different slant on this... MPG is a useless figure for comparison. LPG  has  a different calorific value to petrol for a start!

Bin the obsession with MPG, the best comparison figure is pence per mile/miles per pound :y on petrol, mine costs an average of 25ppm, on LPG it's 15ppm, so a saving of 10ppm. This is an average over the combined cycle :y

Ask Entwood for his figures... He's been very "Anoraky" over it and has a spreadsheet which gives accurate figures :y

I have most of an LPG kit you could buy off me for £100.

you will need a tank and three replacement injectors. other stuff is all there, including the manifold
