What am i doing wrong

Hi guys :)

Ive been trying to sell my miggy on ebay and its just run out with only one bid from a complete timewaster who wanted me to deliver it to ireland and then pay me by cheque,   Why cant i sell my miggy so i can get a motorbike :(   Anyone interested

Sorry to hear about your problems, time wasters are a pain, remember and leave -ve feedback.
One small point, the MOT is a bit short, so the buyer will have to find Ģ50 for MOT and poss Ģ200 for exhaust within a month. A car with a full MOT is more attractive, cause the test may find something else that needs doing.

Nice Car, would have to agree about the MOT though.

I think if was me and I thought it was going to go too cheap, I'd rip out the NCDC and Sat Nav and sell them seperatly (good money for them) and put a Bose HU and MID in, to replace.

nice car and what you want for it is realistic as well.....

on the plus side colour (doesn't show the dirt too much) spec, and the colour sat nav.

Downside is the MOT and the exhaust.

If i was looking at buying then my first offer would be Ģ1300 based on the mot and exhaust, if there was anything else that need doing then i would factor that in as well.....

sorry to sound like a doom monger, if i was looking then i would be arranging to pop up and see it as on the whole it looks like a really straight car

the other thing i would do is not to put it up for sale anywhere else, if i see the same car on a lot of sites then i sense desperation  ;)

Im not desperate for the money, Far from it, Its just that i cant justify having a company car and then my own car not getting used for weeks on end.

I must agree with Jay.w there are a few things that may turn people off,  if you put it through its MOT you would have more chance of getting the price you want   :y :y

With 12 months MOT it will go for the money you want (Ģ1600) Ok Tax would be nice but at that price i wouldn't be bartering over that

MOT is the bigger deal breaker

I agree, however if you want to make more money back (or have more flexibility in dropping your price), I have just had the colour display added and have the amber SatNav screen which was taken out sitting redundant. If you wanted to buy it from me to replace yours, I know that there would be someone on here to buy that colour screen from you.

Only a thought.

More generally; that is a very nice car, get the exhaust fixed and MOT it...that is your problem. simple.

Without an MOT it is not worth the money, you may know that is the only issue, but buyers do not. Personally I wouldn't buy it with no MOT for even half the asking price.

With an MOT you will get that sort of money without much problem at all. I would buy it iro asking price no problems.

Oh, and get a clean carpet for the boot from a scrappy, that way your ad. will read a perfect 10.

Car won by a bidder from scotland at 07.35 this morning and had a reply asking my address which i replied ,  And then no contact since!!!!  I am now starting to worry that its just another timewaster ( ( (  :'( :'( :( >:( :-X :-[ :P

You could not make it up,  I have just had an email from the guy who won the car from me yesterday saying that his account was used for buying my car without his permission and that someone has hacked into his computer,  I dont know if he is telling the truth but ive had about as much as i can take with ebay :(   Rant over ( (  :'(  so Here i am still with the car for sale and just really piss** off.

Cheers guys,, Might keep it for the rest of the mot and then put new ticket on,   But not all that keen on taxing for another 6mths :(

Wack a MOT on it now, if they ask why you want a early re mot, tell them you and the car will be out of the country when the MOT expires (perfectly legal).
