The pressure on ground staff to get a plane turned around is intense , 40 minutes is the time allowed at Newcastle airport , Passengers off , Luggage off , re-fuelling, Catering carts off , disabled passengers waiting for the weird ambulance lift to get them off , cleaners to do their bit , and then do the whole thing in reverse ,and all the time the radio going " when are you going to be done ? " service providers are fined if found to be the cause of a delay , no wonder corners are cut  :(

Here's hoping for a good new year , It can't be any worse than last year , can it ?

HNY everyone.

I'm bloody glad to see the back of 2022, thats for sure.

I’m undecided on whether it was a really bad year or not. My Dad died in February and a couple of months later I very nearly joined him through my own illness, so that should make it a very bad year for me. But, after three solid months in hospital, two heart operations, four blood transfusions and antibiotics piped straight in to a tube in my neck, I’m still alive.
So, does that make it a shite year for nearly croaking it, or a good year because they saved me.  ???  I’m frightened to decide just in case 2023 is worse.  ;D
I wish you'd stop going on about a small heart problem. I had man flu a few weeks back, and you'll know about it if you get that.   :P
Man Flu , pah ! I actually had a nasty paper cut on my thumb , it really did sting  ;)

Mind you if the French advance up the pitch in small rubber boats we'd help them to the goal!  ::)
Then put them up in a nice hotel at our expense !

I suspect in spite of all the raging and foot stamping Wee Krankie is quietly relieved tbh.   ;)
Yup , she can keep blaming the English for all Scotland's problems , suits her just fine  ;)

I went out with a Trolly Dolly once and whenever we went away, she'd insist it was fine to turn up at check in at the last moment which always irritated the hell out of me.  ::)

The last time we went on holiday we visited friends of hers in the Dominican Republic and on the day we left had a final lunch which dragged on and on. I was getting agitated as had to return the hire car etc and as usual we slid through check in at the last mo, but got split up as they didn't have two seats together left which she got a bit stroppy about (liquid lunch!), but I had a nice peaceful flight home anyway!  ;D

We didn't last much longer....  :-X
For every person that checks in four hours early, there are two that insist on rocking up 5 minutes before  ;D
Me and the family were very late boarding our flight in Turkey , oh how everyone clapped and cheered us on to the plane  ;)
