Title: Engine cutting out, Fuel
Post by: Cobhgolf on 08 August 2018, 09:51:01
Omega 2002, 2.6 automatic, petrol, engine cuts out suddenly when driving
car has plenty of petrol, but display shows 0 gallons, leave for a while and it re-starts, and displays 3 gallons. Car has only done 60000 miles used a bit of water, some water in passenger well, occasionely, may be related?

The usual answer seems to be crank sensor and the water problem is the classic blocked scuttle drain - clear it out!  :y

Two main reasons for water in passenger footwell are blocked scuttle drain[as Bigron says] which is easy to sort or leaking heater matrix.Any difficulty in starting the car other than after it cuts out? Can't help with fuel gauge issue I'm afraid.
