How about a Vx price list thread?
« on: 09 November 2006, 00:05:30 »

This one may be up to the Mods, but how about a thread or sticky where members can post about how much items from their local Vx parts counter cost - with or without TC. This would be a useful guide for how much to averagely expect to pay for common items.
For example - cambelt kits, HBV's, brake pads etc.

Would be useful to have prices in one place for easy reference, Cap'n.

I also think it would be useful to pool info on aftermarket "bargains" as well.

I'd agree, sounds like a good idea. I'd suggest putting the date of purchase as well so that people know how long ago it was bought

This sounds like a plan to me.  It may also be useful to do other Vaux suppliers, like Autovaux for example

Sounds like a great idea  :y - but needs to be easily searchable.  Probably need to keep record of engine model/year/size/trim.

It's nice to know what to expect VX to say when you ask the dreaded question 'how much?', and if it's worth taking out life insurance before you do.

So is there a way we could assist Jamie - maybe by pm`ing someone with the info who compiles it weekly/ twice weekly  before passing to a mod  ? Just a though?

I reckon there would need to be 5 elements to the list - description, part #, cost, TC/non TC, date

Which part of the forum would it be best to post this in?  This must be one for the mods to decide.

Sound sensible, might want a sticky in general help and chat redirecting people for a while.

Personally, I don't think we should need to put posts in other areas pointing to it. We should know where to look  :P
