I really should finish my Cessna off... Just got to hook up the flaps and ailerons, stick the wings on and charge it up.

It will move under its own power, but weather it will fly or not is anyone's guess...  :-\ technically, if it won't leave the ground, it won't need registering...  ::)
Because of my (lack of) flying skills, all my planes and racing wings are foam.  My last balsa thing I flew lost an argument with a rugby post on its maiden ;D.  But cant fly any of them currently, as would need to find a field, and its hardly an essential reason to leave the house.

As the owner, only you need to get an operator-id (£9 pa) from the CAA, and you and anyone else who attempts to fly it needs a flyer-id (free, but needs a test to prove you can spell your name).  You're operator ID covers all relevant craft you may own.

(I'm assuming its under 20kg?)
I haven't weighed it recently, but I think it's less than 5kg.

As long as the wheels cope with concrete, I can theoretically use the road as a runway...  :D

I could take it to work, but I don't think that's in the rules either ::)

None of mine have wheels, and foam on tarmac, there is only gonna be one winner ;D

As to Gatwick, yes, that'll be in a no fly zone, and given the likely made up stories from 15 months ago, I can see that being classed as antisocial ;D

Drewomega, hope you are managing. Could be worse places to be stuck. Are they British Embassy  recovery flights home? Hope you get sorted . I read somewhere that Mallorca wasn't thinking of reopening until 2021.

Yes Varche! there was a BER flight a week or so ago and they were charging £1600 :o to EDIN. I have another 200 miles to go after that! Suffice to say I did not take their offer.
I have lots to do on place in Scotland ie. painting, oiling decking etc. Nothing to do here as I have painted all the walls and ceilings again!!  8)
I think I will just stay here and see what happens!!

I'm always last in the office in the morning but I make up for it by leaving first.

If you don't have to go back to Scotland, this seems the sensible plan to be honest.  :y
