A newbie Kiwi in Switzerland
« on: 23 September 2008, 09:51:06 »

Hi there guys. I'm a Kiwi (New Zealander - not the fruit!) who bought a 99 T reg Elite in the UK, used it for four months to tow a caravan around UK and Europe (fantastic motor!) and am now living in Switzerland. Is there any way as a newbie I can advertise it on the forum? I'd take it to Europe but the steering wheel is on the wrong side. I'd take it to NZ but it's an oddball there with no parts available. So I have to sell it, and at 51,000 miles it's got a lot of life left. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. To answer the question about where from - lived in lots of parts of NZ but home is Tauranga , Bay of Plenty. Why do Brits not appreciate what a great car the Omega is? They sell for dirt cheap, and the Elite has everything that opens and shuts. best car I've ever owned, and I've had a few. Makes me weep to have to part with it. Towed a 15 foot 2 caravan nearly 10,000 miles and never missed a beat. Solid a s a rock. grunt galore. Romps along on cruise control with the van on the back and doesn't even know it's there.
