Omega General Help / Non starter

Any advice on where to go next, engine spins but won’t fire. No fault codes, swapped crank sensor for a known good one, descent spark at plugs, fuel pump fuses ok, only thing not checked is immobiliser but everything else seems in order, any advice on where to look next would be most helpful, it’s a 97 3.0

General Discussion Area / Window tinting

We have skylights in kitchen & bathroom both facing south & recent hot weather is unbearable for swmbo, so wondered if anyone has tried tinting or heat reflective film that goes on wet, been told it is mirror like at dusk & she is happy with that so if anyone has any tips or advice on if they work or not.

Will be tackling a few rust spots under the car with a wire wheel in a drill soon, so anyone recommend a protective coating I can apply by brush. Neighbours would not be too impressed if I dragged compressor out onto the street & car won't fit in the shed

Should the two air con fans in front of the rad run all the time while air con is in use or are they switched dependent on coolant temp as mine don't kick in until engine temp reaches nearly 100 degrees

Just replaced the top hose on a v6 & now have eml flashing, got the 1-2 flash 3 times then get 9-1-2. Hose would not come off without a fight so may have damaged something in that area or should I be looking elsewhere

Omega General Help / Thrust washer

Replaced it today with the sonnax metal washer but no matter how I try to set end float with packing washers I still get 1.5mm instead of 0.1-0.8mm as in the guide, scratching my aching head trying to sort this but no joy, makes no difference if I use 1 or all 6 packing washers still get same result

Any ideas?

Was planning on fitting a new oil cooler over the weekend but wondered if very low outside temps will have a difference on cure time for grey goo needed to seal cooler plate, any advice peeps?

SWMBO has deleted a sub folder in inbox containing all her saved e mail's, its not showing up in deleted items & not in the recycle bin,she fears its gone forever & is in bits is there any way of restoring this folder,
never seen her cry so much

you just get lucky, had to go do a feature on a guy who bought one of these a few weeks ago & i thought i would be a bit cheeky & ask if i could have a go, couldn't believe it when he said it needs petrol so he would drive it to fill up & he let me drive it back to its home
