I think the plan is to freeze it for the moment. Then if they argue about the refund I can whack them round the ear with it.

sorry to hear that some people have yet again had a bad experience

Ours was tender and moist because............I read the f***in manual this year. Butter and salt on top, covered in foil and cooked in water...not fat. Remove foil, baste and whack the oven up for half an hour. You'd think I'd have known after cooking about thirty of the bastards.  ;D

I've got a couple of 'dressy' shirts that I don't get the chance to wear very often. The one I'm wearing seems to have shrunk a bit since last year. Perhaps it's a bit damp in the wardrobe.  :-[

Just had our turkey. We had to shop around but found a butcher that had sold the legs and wings off a small turkey. No problem we will have what is left.  Do you want it jointing? Err no thanks. Roasting joints or whole birds isn't a thing here.

3.5 kilos 16 euros. It was delicious, nicest we have ever had. That includes a bronze fresh turkey that I did 90 mile round trip to collect from a farm near Stratford on Avon. That cost about £70 all those years ago.

I remember back in the seventies getting a bargain “ fresh turkey” from Leicester market on Christmas Eve. Got it out on Christmas Day to cook and it was decidedly off. We went without.

Clothes. I bought a nice pair of trousers in M&S in Spring. Went to wear them last week for the first time and they had shrunk. Must be a common wardrobe problem.

Yes......clothes tend to shrink more as we age. No idea why.

Our Christmas dinner was spot on, though due to being essentially dead, I was unable to do it proper justice.  But Mrs TB cooked it to perfection, along with all the veg and trimmings...

turkey is nothing special even when cooked properly, like ours was. Add all the 'trimmings' and the plate looks like the bottom of a restaurant's dustbin.

The honey roast gammon we had yesterday was sublime.

We'll have a light dinner tonight so we can actually enjoy the Christmas pudding.

My Christmas dinner was spot on, probably aided by the fact I was not feeling great, so I just had a small taste of most of it, rather than a mountain of food.

But Christmas Pudding? No thank you. Why on earth would anyone want to eat dried up fruit is way beyond me.... ;)

You are obviously allergic to Christmas, just ignore it next year.

When it's rammed down your throat from September onwards it's difficult to ignore it.  ::)

Maybe I should take my own advice and move to Pakistan, Saudi Arabia or North Korea!  :y
