Astra spare key programming question
« on: 25 January 2010, 15:16:49 »

Just picked up an Astra for 'er indoors. After her other car was written off in the snow. Have only got one key with it and would like a spare.

In the documents I have the car pass and also a spare immobiliser chip selotaped to a piece of paper.

If I get a blank blade cut to the other key am I right in thinking I just need a 2 button remote (probably from ebay) but this will need programming with a Tech 2 ?

I don't think there is an alarm fitted, does this make any difference to the type of remote I need ?

Are the remotes more or less the same, my own Omega one is the same style as the Astra one.
