I'll be very interested to see your pictures! I saw AHL when it came out of service, and I did know it was going to be restored, but glad you joined OOF. I imagine finding the correct lightbar was probably the hardest bit as not many forces use them? Are you a member of PVEC?
I used to have Y189 HKE which was another DPG unit, glad to see one is being restored and preserved, I shall look forward to seeing your car and meeting you at one of the various shows 

thanks Josh, got the lightbar, but just need front whites and rear reds for it, luckily south wales fire service use the same bars!! Dad purchased the car and i've done the work on it!! just gold stripe and met transfers to go on! this was us at EMS DAY on Sunday.

Hi everyone!! a few of my mates are here! we have a 3.2 V6 police spec Omega on a 53 plate, the last one that was in service with SO16 diplomatic protection unit Metropolitan Police London. I see lots of members take pics, if you have any, or if i can help you in anyway,please PM me!!

The antenna on the picture is the standard GSM phone antenna. Any of the breakers on here should be able supply one as it was on most of the saloons.

The Met would have used Panorama Antennas for the own RT Network or Sigma Aerials for the Airwave Network.

Might have some Sigma's lying around, if its something on the Comms side of things, what is it you trying to do exactly.

Yes Chris you are correct on all counts, SO16 car with a stub ariel needed!!  the base is there, just the standard stub ariel is missing just above the middle of the rear window, i think they were fitted Y reg on??? as you can prob see it was fitted but disappeared before we picked the car up.
