Recycling
« on: 18 August 2012, 15:30:12 »

In todays world we are continously told how we should recycle everything. A good thing IMO.
That said, I find it a little ironic that many products are manufactured with lower intended life span than in days gone by - white goods in particular.
Here, we do have to have 3 types of bins which certainly helps with the recycling.

But, I decided to do a little of my own.

So, one broken down, useless washing machine and one broken office desk became this.

Sitting out on the terrace on a summers evening with a beer or few after a bbq, it's nice to have a little fire going. For a little warmth once the sun goes, for the atmosphere of the evening .... and to cook marshmallows.

Thanks. I can, of course. But I am missing a few vital components at the moment. Namely a washing machine drum and 3 metal legs.  ;D I got the wood though.  ;)

Oh, postage might be a little costly too.

What a fantastic use of u/s stuff, and it looks like it was professionally designed and made too. That would cost a fair few bob in Harrods or Harvey Nicks! :D ;D :y
