I don't think it unreasonable that any couple in a stable, long term relationship shouldn't be entitled to the same legal security as is afforded to a traditional married couple... And that applies whether it's a gay couple sharing a house and cat or a heterosexual couple who have lived together for X years and have three kids.

What I do strongly object to is being told that the traditional family model is completely wrong and a minority group, when it is clear that this simply isn't the case.

Yep...civil partnership. Same rights as a married couple.

It is a funny thing that I have found the men that do have something negative to say about others being gay often have doubts about their own sexuality. The men who are very sure about their male sexuality do not care a damn about those who are gay and what they do :D
