Omega General Help / Auto gearbox not changing up gear
« on: 02 September 2010, 14:05:36 »
1999 2.5 v6, occasionally( at the moment) the gear box will stay in 1st gear until rev's reach 4k it usually then works ok. It may be coincidence but this seems to occur more often if the car has not been used for a couple of days. Is this the start of something terminal? Will the fault be able to be read on a diagnostic meter or 'paperclip' test.

I have no heat at all coming from climate control/heater, I have flushed matrix and checked for air lock, both in and out matrix pipes get hot, replaced heater bypass valve, replaced heater control panel. Heater flaps appear to be moving, either way it is cold air both sides front and back. I have come to the point of no futher ideas, any help gratefully received.

« on: 21 January 2010, 16:42:17 »
Have read the query about heating on only one side but I have no heating at all, just cold air throughout car. 1999 2.5 v6, not loosing water, water going thro matrix, engine temp normal, recently replaced matrix vacuum valve. I have now endured 1 month freezing driving. Help! any suggestions? or contacts in Merseyside area.

Liverpool, the diagnosis up to now is that there may be a problem with the flaps in the climate control, blocking any warm air

recently had same problem, needed new ecu unit and with fitting (which is a very fiddley ) came to £400ish. I think replacement ECU was £120, you can get recon units with 12 month guarentee.

I am after a heater climate control ECU unit for a facelift 2.5 CDV6 1999, it's the switch panel above the CD, do you have one on the MV6?
