All fuel range displays are gimmicks, no harm in them but i would'nt trust them.
Whenever i get near the 1/4 tank i fill up. Simples!

good advice which i am trying to adhere (if thats the right word ) to with my "Lady Olivia" dont want to give her any reason to brake down on me if i can avoid it, just sold the most reliable car i have ever owned (and iv had over 20) my celica "cilla" had her nearly 3 years and she never let me down once, i know people call jap cars but i couldnt fault her ! heres hoping " Olivia" is as good to me ::) but not holding my breath  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

The fuel warning light on mine comes on when I have 50 miles left. Thats when I normally look to fillup, but when it starts flashing on the CID that I'm down to 31 miles, I don't let it get any lower, simply as I don't want to risk the crud in the bottom of the tank causing problems.

range on the Omega is quite good, it takes an average mpg from the last 12 miles to predict the range. Hence it goes up on the motorway, you guys must run the tanks low, usually its £60-65 for me  :-/
