Ebay or the trader?
« on: 20 August 2010, 17:44:59 »

Need to sell a 206 I have just finished rejuvenating but haven't sold a car for ages so am wondering which people have found the better, It's worth about £1300 and a minter.

Whats the easiest way of reducing ebay fees etc? any dodges?

Year & reg please  :y

A car like a 206 will be very popular on eBay, although recently I've sold a lot of things with just having for sale signs in them  :y

put the auction on for 7 days and state in the ad the car is for sale else where and can be removed at anytime and put veiwing welcome then hopfully someone will make you a offer.
Then if you sell it private put sold on the add at least 24hrs(or more) before sale ends and you won't pay the 10% fee after 24hrs to go you can't alter the ad in any way :y
hope this helps ::)

01 year on a Y plate, 53000 miles. 1.1 LX, new tyres, battery, suspension arms, full service. price may be a bit off but if you have access to more accurate valuation that would be usefull Del.

apart from my first car i've only ever sold cars through ebay's classified listings

£12.99 for 30 days (they recently had an offer on, where it was completely free!! keep a lookout)

loads of space to put everything the buyer needs to know, and also 12 pictures, not including the ones you can squeeze in with html too!

Trader is a cheaper ad. fee but you get bombarded with canvassing calls from irritating idiots who can't get a proper job saying they have people lining up to buy your car for more than your'e asking if you pay £80. I asked why don't they just phone me & buy it?...What does my sale have to do with you, i said no canvassres. They pretend they did'nt see that bit & calls from illiterate teenagers only interested in what stereo is fitted & where in Birmingham am i? Ad clearly stated Immingham.
   Ebay is a buyers market so you should expect a little less. There are idiots but i've found it a better place to sell overall.
