Surely even a NHS hospital has diesel generators on hot standby for power cuts?

But I do do tend to agree that any minuscule minority group of activists who take it into their heads to invade a power station are perpetrating some form of civil disorder and should be severely dealt with. 8-)
Critical care, operating theatres & special care baby units should have UPS (battery) supplies to keep things running for 20 minutes or until the generators kick in.
Standing orders should be that no operations are started while relying on the generators because there is then no safety back up.
