http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/default.asp?tx=VOSA
This might be of interest to some, it shows the Factory recalls for different cars.
Appologies if it's been on before :-[

Nice.
The one recall for my car "unintentional deployment of airbag".
I sure hope a previous owner had that sorted! ;D

Very interesting :y It also confirms something that was on the Jeep Forum - front seats overheating and causing fire, on my model, I must admit the drivers seat does get hot.... ::) ::)
It was my plan to pop into the Jeep Garage and ask, but that link even gives the recall code, thanks.... :y :y :y :y

this site does not seem too up to date. Whilst I am not surprised Phaeton deos not feature (recalled last week on water pump) I am surprised that the recall of 78000 Passats for diesel injector work does not get a mention. The VW references do not go past 2010.
Not sure of how requirements work which oblige mfrs to notify VOSA

Indeed, you have to remember that its recalls and many manufacturers dont recall cars.......

That'll cheer up a bloke I work with. :D He had to pay for his last two injectors at £500 each :o.
Thank goodness everything in life is more reliable than a Volkswagen :y

Remember when my Toyota 4Runner got a recall.
Recieved a letter asking me to call local dealer, was told a safety recall was needed and the part was already in stock.
They said it would be a couple of days before a loan car would be avaliable.
As i had the use of a company van at the time i droped the truck off that evening.
Following afternoon was called and informed that the truck was ready for collection.
On collection was informed that all 3 steering arms were replaced as a few of the bars had cracked on vehicles in America.
The vehicle was cleaned inside and out,a bottle of bubbly and bunch of flowers on the passenger seat for the trouble of bieng without vehicle for the day.
So thumbs up to Toyota on that occasion.

That's one thing that our local Toyota dealer is very good at. :y mum's last 5 cars were Toyotas and although not much went wrong with any of them, when it did they were always very quick at sorting the problem as painlessly as possible. :y
Unlike the useless ratherk retards at my SEAT dealer >:( whose stock response was 'that's normal. the brakes are performing as they should...' Yet on the third 'I'm really not happy with my car trying to spin everytime I brake at speed' trip to the garage at approx 12k from new, they insisted all was well, but 'I needed to pay them £500 to change the discs and pads because the discs were worn out', which was 'normal'... :-X
