IF the mile reading has "gone back" on the dash ,from previous records the NT HAS to record the milage shown on the dash as presented for MOT.
if ,in the case of a faulty LCD or similar mileometer ,the milage can't be viewed ,it should be noted as such eg "unreadable"
The Tester Could add an "advisory" note if he wanted , but that's unlikely .
MOT certificates and service histories are NOT proof of the correct milage ,or the vehicle is safe or 'fault free' or indeed ever been serviced .
people can't always be trusted
MOT just means that for one hour on a certain day the vehicle met the requirements,doesn't mean its any good.
