these days I have the same acoustic noise when turning off the ignition. it only sounds once every 12 hours or so isn't?

mine does it when the keys are still in the ignition.

Hi,

on a cold start the warning light with a spanner comes on. Leave it running for few minutes switch off engine and then start again no warning lights. what it could be and how can I diagnose?

Also another problem which seems like auto gear box problem. When pulling off on first gear, its like pulling a heavy truck until it gets to 4th gear. I tried with sports mode it got stuck to 1st gear and started jerking. May be needed an ATF change?

hi,

for the last couple of days I m having a cold start problem and then also misfires on first gear at 2500 rpm if accelerated hard while car is at 15-20 mph speed.  I presume it might be due to fuel filter as this hasnt been changed for last 20k miles. Spark plugs have been recently changed less than 1k miles.

Can you please advise.

Hi,

I m here with 2 problems but related to same issue

Alarm goes off after an hour as soon I double lock the car with the remote but if I keep it to single it doesn't goes off.

Also, if I double lock the car and open it with the key instead of unlocking it with remote the alarm doesn't goes off and only flashes light.

so Annoying!!!

Can anyone help on this...

Doesn`t sound very knowledgeable
To confirm if the compressor is knackered you need to unplug connector and apply 12V & 0V to contacts and see if the clutch engages

I think i can do this test myself.

Selonoids not working in the compressor.

I also noticed that when i switch on A/c rpm normally goes down a bit but not anymore.

What test did they perform, 12V direct to compressor?

Not sure but they had the machine attached to the valves where the gas is refilled from, he told me that he injected an oil to perform test. Sorry not a very technical person

I have two of them,but neither of them have been used on a car for at least 6 months. I have heard it said that the seals can dry out if they aren't used,so it might be a bit of a gamble tbh. Might be worth asking for opinions before diving in ,but I only want £20 for one,and your close enough to not have to pay the postage,which would be expensive for something so heavy.
