What in your opinion is best to own , i like the idea of the motorhome purely for the reason i dont fancy trying to reverse park a caravan  :-[ with the motorhome you take it with you and no hitch and un hitching once your at your destination like with a caravan . Also if it was a caravan does it need to be insured by law , and what sort of price for the insurance  :)
Are we talking about which is easier to hit with an RPG?

Clearly, nobody in their right mind would want either, unless they are the type who enjoy just being in everyone's way.

Caravan every time.

I service, repair and install new appliances into new and old caravans and motorhomes everyday and if you've got money to burn then get a motorhome and a chauffeur, but you will have less fun than a caravan  ;)

Here's why ...

With a caravan you can unhitch it from your omega , set up your awning, mini bar and barbeque then and use all the money you've saved by buying a caravan you can run and modify your mig for the rest of your life and still have change left over  ;D :D :D

Enjoy !

Still disagree. Not that I've ever taken my bike camping. Even on my tod, as OOFers will vouch, I bring a car.  I like a tent I can stand in, and I need a good airbed due to a somewhat 'dangle berries'ed up back

I take an air-bed on the bike, sleeping bag, little gas cooker, I take a smaller tent for speed of putting it up. I have one I can stand up in, but its just tad big, although I could take it.

No tunnie, I said a good airbed ;)

Thats before a fridge to keep my food and drink fresh, a heater for those chilly nights, a cooker than can boil more than a cup-a-soup, and a few clean cloths, and a towel to dry myself after a shower....
