Omega General Help / Re: Engine ECU repair.
« on: 11 December 2025, 19:51:59 »
I’ve used AP-Reman and www.ecutesting.com, both with success, but for ABS Pump module repairs, not engine ECU.
As these two pop up in a search, I’m guessing that maybe you’ve enquired with these already though.  :-\

Bought another one.... BMW 330i (E92) M Sport Coupe. 2010 with 66K on the clock.  :)

Nice one.  :y  I had a few E92’s, in both 335d/330d and 330i guise and loved them.  :y  We liked them so much that we even had ‘his and hers’ E92’s at the same time, with hers being the petrol as she didn’t do the miles that I did. They sit on the road nicely and handle really well when pushed. I was sad to see the last one go but we moved on to the 4 series coupe.

I know it’s a terrible photo of my last E92 330d, but I didn’t take many photos of them back then.  ::)
Hope yours serves you well.  :y

General Car Chat / Re: New UK car sales for September 2025

Regardless of what they want us to believe regarding EV sales, the vehicle manufacturers are all pleading for this lunacy to stop. Mercedes CEO recently put out an announcement, saying that the Auto Industry will collapse if they’re forced to continue down the EV route. The whole car industry is in trouble, real trouble.

...........
All the staff were amazing, was explained it all and given options before hand, Opted for the gas/air, Procedure no where near as bad as I thought it might have been.

If it's still the same as when I had it done, they request that you hang about for a while afterwards if you opted for anaesthetic. I opted for the quick exit option.  :)

Coded the A6 to do the audible chirp on lock/unlock. Then decided that it was chavvy, so I coded it back out again.  ::)

I think a lot of kids assume that Mum and Dad are a permanent fixture and always there, then all of a sudden, they aren't. SWMBO had a minor stroke just over a week ago and that made them sit up. Luckily she got away quite lightly but has weakness on her left side which seems to be slowly improving. Early days though. Welcome back Dave, hope things go well for you.  :y

Sorry to hear that Ronny. Hope she makes a full recovery.  :y

Some scrotes have done mum's place over again, and nicked her safe.  Sod all of value in there, but it's gonna be at least £2k for a new front door, and then the emotional costs.
……..

Sorry to hear this.  >:(   As you say, the emotional toll will never go away.  ;(   It’s not nice knowing that someone has rifled through personal stuff without giving a shit about how traumatised the home owner is afterwards.

So, turns out it was bent as well.  So the bill for welding and straightening was 160 notes. Ouch.
Surely that's most of the way to a new wheel :-\

If you mean new, as in brand new, they are just shy of £800 ...... per wheel.  :o

I believe the Cactus 1.5 has a 17 litre Adblue tank under the boot floor, which can be topped up by the traditional method of Adblue, but I may be wrong.  :-\
I do recall the earlier type of DEF being different.  :y

If you think it's an Adblue fault, would it be worth enquiring about having the system mapped out. Adblue pumps, heaters etc. are bloody expensive, but you wouldn't have to worry about Adblue anymore. **

Omega General Help / Re: Mystery pipe- Please help
« on: 16 November 2025, 14:23:34 »
I agree with Dave.  :y  If the pipe has no home, and more importantly appears to have never had a home, I'd agree that it's the transmission breather pipe. It just tucks up randomly behind the engine, as you have found. That one catches a few people out.  :y

Oh, sounds like there is another one, Newsnight this time...

Every time I hear more bad things about the BBC and their corruption, it brings a little bit more happiness to my life.  ;D

He does have a great selection of both cars and bikes.....including a 'widowmaker' 750 2 stroke Kawasaki triple and 6 cylinder Honda CBX.

My mate had a Honda CBX. They made an incredible tune back in the day when being wound up.  :y

« on: 12 November 2025, 14:57:14 »
At school it was common for kids to call each other a mong or a spaz......plus a few other terms of endearment. >:D

Quite why the police become involved when KH refers to herself as a spaz is beyond me.

I'm guessing it may have much to do with her politics. :-X

It's 100% personal by the police. She's a long time friend and supporter of Tommy Robinson so the police try to silence her by making the alleged charge process the punishment. The police have chosen who's side they are on, and it isn't the British publics side.

The British police are an absolute disgrace now. Any little shred of respect that we had a few years back is well and truly gone.
Any amount of incredible work done by those behind the scenes is well and truly overshadowed by the uniformed clowns on our streets.
They just seem intent on sinking lower and lower.  ::)
