No sim in the CCR2006 I am afraid.  It's a different stereo.

More than likely the sensor has failed.  Only a few quid new and a doddle to replace.

I had all mine all pop together once when I had the dash out to replace a blown speedo bulb.

Shine a torch at the MID and see if you can still make out the characters on the display.  If you can, then it is just the bulbs that have gone.

It usually takes a lot of pulling to get it out.  The connector on the back is quite deep so it can take a while to remove. Just keep at it!

good news only one n/s front non on rear bad news they sell them in pairs

Only one on facelifts, 2 on pre & mini facelifts.

Can buy them singly from Vx (mine were part nš 90495144) or off ebay.

I have a facelift and there is one on the near-side and one on the offside set of pads. ;)

I checked mine last week and only had them on the nearside.  They must have changed them around 2001.

This is one of the side affects of the Hillpers boot mod unfortunately.

Yep, Dave's FM modulator is the best bet.  A few forum members have them and they are highly recommended.

What year car do you have and what stereo is in it?  If its a pre-facelift then another option might be a Dension ICE Link kit.  It allows you to hook into the stereo using the CD changer input so that you can change tracks etc from the head unit or steering controls.

Obviously if you have a CD changer, you would lose the use of it but I had the ICE Link on my S reg and was very happy with it.

Try resetting it by pushing the knob in and holding it until the sunroof cycles through its positions.

Yep, on Vauxhalls it's usually the red and yellow wires that need to be swapped.

Not quite. Red and Yellow are the conventional and popular colours as used by many aftermarket radio manufacturers, Vauxhall use completely different colours for their wiring.

Oopps, yes you are correct. :-)

Sounds like it's lost the permanent live feed somewhere.  You might have to whip it out and take a look at the back of it.

When you wash your windscreen and you have your headlights on, the headlight washers come on for about a second and then go off, even if you still have the screenwash stalk pulled.  You think your lights are dimming, but it's just the spray from the headlight washers getting in the way for a second.

Yeah, a lot of the wires on mine don't actually go anywhere either.
