You couldn't have bought a new one, not an Omega, and if you had...just think how much fun you would have missed and how much knowledge about the car you would have lost out on, and how much satifaction and pride you would have missed. :)

My favourites:
nie rozumiem (I don't understand)
przepraszam (sorry/excuse me!)
gdzie jest toaleta (where is the loo?)

;D ;D ;D Google translator got "idz za ciosem" as "go for blow" !!!  ;D ;D ;D  Tied in nicely with big beer, big vodka, big bigos, big sleep- go for blow!!!

I have done three Polish courses at college but I'm still lost-my wife is an excellent translator and always helps if needed.

an impressive list. Mine was similar.(lost it in a phone swap fiasco) Only now is it starting to drive straight and behave as it should with all the service work done.

You may be interested to know, i could have had a brand new dark burgandy 2.6 cdx in 2005(i think, may have been 04) for £12000. It was said to be the last one vx had, if you can beleive that.....i didnt as it came from the mouth of a car salesman.

I sat in a last of line new Omega that was offered for similar money, my mate nearly bought it...

My Omega still is not "absolutely" right, but I am, some say, a little pernickity.....the list goes on.  And on.

Thanks for the feedback  :y

My thoughts too  :y  I love the V6, but even my humble, tidy 4pot is complex enough-and this has been a lot of work.

I looked in the Lotus Carlton engine bay and shuddered with admiration for any mechanic who could tame it.... ;D

Sincere thanks to welungg666 for his help, advice and support.  Without this, I would have sold it by now.  He calls it "Trigger's broom"  ;D ;D

Thanks to everyone for their query responses and general help.

Great site  :y :y :y :y :y :y

The list goes on  >:(

Now having:
new track rod assemblies fitted both sides
XX new ball joints both sides NO
throttle bodies cleaned

My friends can't believe how obsessive all this is for an old virtually worthless car....I see their point....but hopefully this is IT now  ;D ;D

I think my head needs scanning for fault codes-where do I plug in the "My Naff Code Reader"?

Add to this a new thermostat, carbon cabin filter, NS and OS track rod assemblies.....

Next: NS and OS wishbones and bushes, bankruptcy!!

Just one question, what is the recommendation for these Carbon pollen filters?  I am on paper, right or wrong?
EDIT:- Just seen The Boy's post, Facelifts NEED Carbon ones.
